As a former standup comedian, Mike learned early on that the audience is always right and that the closer he can get to the consumer, the better. This mindset led him to take on the role of CEO for Ugly Brother's newest creation - World Chef - a direct-to-consumer content platform that facilitates deep connections between foodies and their favorite Chefs. Entirely shoppable, World Chef provides Chefs' food directly to Members so they can cook along or just eat with the Chefs!
An industry veteran with more than 2 decades of experience, Mike has created or co-created dozens of shows across cable, broadcast and streaming outlets including the multiple Emmy-winning, James Beard Award nominated Eat the World with Emeril Lagasse for Amazon, Netflix's Fresh, Fried and Crispy, Roku's Shape of Pasta and the Nickelodeon hit series Top Elf, along with his brother Tim.
Mike has a particular love for comedy/variety projects like Ugly Bro's Funny Dance Show (E!), Ron Funches: Giggle Fit (Comedy Central), The Comedy Jam (Comedy Central), among others. As the former Executive Vice President of Development for RDF USA and Zodiak USA, he was part of the team that developed & sold Celebrity Wife Swap (ABC), The Secret Millionaire (Fox & ABC), Don’t Forget the Lyrics (FOX). Hardcore Pawn (truTV), One Big Happy Family (TLC) and many others. As Managing Director of Branded Content for Ben Silverman’s IAC-backed prodco Electus, he spearheaded the family-friendly initiative funded by Walmart and P&G that set up Get Out Alive and Running Wild with Bear Grylls at NBC as well as Bet on Your Baby at ABC and A Michael Buble’ Christmas at NBC.
